Table Tennis Grand Prix lands in Sandwell

Tipton Sports Academy hosted the 3rd Tournament in the Table Tennis England Grand Prix Series over the weekend of the 11th and 12th November 17. The event was a great success, with over 100 spectators and 180 participants from all over the UK and even Europe.

This event attracted a quality field of entrants and produced some exciting table tennis.

Craig Bryant and Emily Bolton both capped off a satisfactory weekend, as they added to their band 1 wins with victories in the men’s and women’s singles respectively. Bryant took full advantage of the absence of Chris Doran and Mike O’Driscoll, the two previous winners in the event this season, to live up to his billing as number one seed and come out on top.

Bolton on the other hand overcame overall leader Karina Le Fevre, who had won the first two women’s singles competitions on the circuit.

Many thanks to our team at Tipton Sports Academy for hosting such a fantastic event that really helps raise the profile of the fantastic facilities in Sandwell.
