But the accolades didn't stop there. The Trust was the sole winner of The Leisure Safety Trophy 2024, the top safety award in the leisure category, further underscoring its unwavering commitment to protecting members and staff across all sites.

RoSPA, the leading voice in health and safety, campaigns to reduce avoidable accidents at home, on the road, at work, and during leisure activities. Its internationally renowned Health and Safety Awards recognize organizations, teams, and projects across all sectors for their unwavering commitment to protecting lives, setting the benchmark for excellence, and inspiring sector-wide admiration.

Julia Small, RoSPA’s Achievements Director, said, “Workplace accidents don’t just pose financial risks and operational disruptions; they significantly impact the quality of life for individuals. This is why acknowledging and rewarding excellent safety performance is vital.

“We congratulate SLT for winning these prestigious RoSPA Awards and showing an unwavering commitment to keeping employees, clients and customers safe from accidental harm and injury.”

The Leisure Safety Trophy recognizes outstanding health and safety performance among companies that primarily offer services directly to guests and visitors.

As of this year, the RoSPA award entry process can be used as a reflective practice to contribute to continuing professional development (CPD), further enhancing its value for organizations committed to safety excellence.
