New Swimming Teacher Training Opportunities with SLT
Langley Swimming Centre, which is a Sandwell Leisure Trust approved STA Training Centre are excited to announce the following planned courses which are open for bookings:
STA Safety Award for Teachers
Date: Saturday 9th April 2022
Times: 8:30-17:30pm (times approx. TBC by tutor)
Venue: Langley Swimming Centre.
Price: £100
You must complete both of the below courses, as well as the Safety Award for Teachers (unless you already hold a current Pool Lifeguard, Pool Emergency Responder or acceptable equivalent qualification) If you wish to be considered for employment as a Swimming Instructor for Sandwell Leisure Trust.
STA Swimming Teacher Award (Teach Beginners Only)
Dates: Sunday 10th April-Thursday 14th April 2022
Times: 8:30-17:30pm (times approx. TBC by tutor)
Venue: Langley Swimming Centre.
Price: £325
STA Swimming Teacher Certificate (Teach All Aspects of Swimming)
Dates: Sunday 29th May-Wednesday 1st June 2022
Times: 8:30-17:30pm (times approx. TBC by tutor)
Venue: Langley Swimming Centre.
Price: £225
Course pre-requisites:
You must be:
- 16+years old.
- Able to swim 25m+
- Able to surface dive and recover an object from the deepest part of the pool.
- All candidates on Safety Award for Teachers need to complete a pre-requisite swim test, which will be held at Langley Swimming Centre on Saturday 2nd April at 12.15pm.
