HHLC Pools Latest Update

Important Customer Information - both swimming pools at Haden Hill Leisure Centre remain closed.

Please note: all other activity areas are open as usual, including gym, studio, sauna/steam and sports hall. Alternative swimming sessions are available at other SLT centres.

Sandwell Council, who provide all maintenance for the centre are working with their contractors to arrange further investigative works. We will update customers as soon as we get any further information, as this will require a detailed inspection of both pool hall areas.  We anticipate this will take several weeks to establish. Therefore both pools will remain closed until further notice. 

All sessions that were scheduled to take place in pools have been cancelled this includes public swimming, school swimming, club use & swimming lessons. 

Existing Swim ONE members will be able to temporarily access the fitness classes and gym at Haden Hill Leisure Centre, whilst the swimming pools are not available. Swim ONE Members can also access swimming at other SLT sites or suspend their membership if they wish. One Card members can use their membership at any other SLT facility as normal.

For Swimming lesson customers only The team at Haden Hill have now completed the process of  contacting  all swimming lesson customers wherever possible to relocate to other SLT swimming pools. 

The following are the three options provided to customers after closure. 

1. Move lessons: Those who have moved  your lesson temporarily to another leisure centre while Haden Hill is closed (you will be credited for any lessons missed in March). If you chosen this option please do not cancel the direct debit with your bank, your payments will go out as usual and credits calculated by our memberships team and processed in due course. 

2. Cancel/Refund: If you have confirmed you do not wish  to remain on the lesson programme, please cancel the direct debit with your bank at your earliest opportunity. Any refunds due for lessons missed in March due to the closure will be arranged in due course by our membership team. 

3. Suspend/Credit: If you indicated you wanted to keep your place on the register and continue with lessons HHLC re-opens, we will freeze your payments and keep your place on the register (this means you keep your space in the current class). However at this stage we can not confirm the length of closure.

Please note: We were not able to suspend the direct debit payment scheduled for April, so in this instance your usual  payment will have left your account on 01.04.23. This payment will be used as credit for the first month that you return swimming  lessons. Please do not cancel the direct debit if you are opting for a suspension, as this will automatically cancel the lesson on our system and you will lose the space on the current register.

Credits and refunds for March will be issued over the coming weeks by our membership team who are working as quicky as they can .
