Help 4 Heroes Wheelchair Rugby Team train for Invictus Games at Harry Mitchell
The Help 4 Heroes rugby team have been a regular fixture at
Harry Mitchell Leisure Centre holding training sessions but in the run up to
the Invictus Games they are hosting a 2 day training camp.
The Invictus games start 20th October in Sydney,
Australia and take place until the 27th. The Wheelchair Rugby
competition takes place on Wednesday 24th October at the Quaycentre
in Sydney Olympic Park.
The sport is fast, powerful and competitive which is why the Help 4 Heroes team have ramped up their training in the run up to the games. The team achieved Silver medal in the 2017 games and are looking to aim even higher this year. The team have been training regularly and even have moral support in the form of Kath “The Cake Lady” who bakes a banquet of cakes for the team to fuel their training.
