Customer Update: Upcoming LATC Transition

We wanted to update you that staff and the services managed and delivered by SLT on behalf of Sandwell Council will be transitioning to a new LATC, Local Authority Trading Company, a company wholly owned by the Council. This transition will take place over the coming months ahead.
Following an extensive period of negotiation SLT and the Council were unable to agree an acceptable business plan and therefore alternative arrangements to manage and sustain the leisure services needed to be put in place. The Council has determined that their preferred delivery model to manage the service is a Local Authority Trading Company. The Council recognises the hard work and dedication of all the staff and the achievements made by the SLT team over the last 18 years of operation and wishes to build on this for the future.
We want to reassure you that your membership will still be valid and current fees and charges remain in place. Maintaining customer service will continue to be of paramount importance and your centres, the activities and facilities you enjoy will continue to be provided and developed as they always have.
