Children in Need funding for Portway Disability Doorstep Sports Club
Thanks to BBC Children in Need funding, the multi sports club will now be open to children aged 5+ and will encourage them to take part in various sports and activities including basketball, table top cricket, bowling and much more, catering for all ages and abilities.
Mandy Williams, Sports Development Officer said:
"We’re so happy that BBC Children in Need have funded the club to enable us to offer children from age five the chance to come along every week and have a go at all the sports and activities we have on offer. This friendly club welcomes everyone!”
Any child with a disability, their family and friends can come along to Portway Lifestyle Centre from 11.30am – 1pm every Saturday, during term time, and play lots of sports and activities. The sessions cost just £2 per person.
Our disability doorstep football session which was part of the multi sports club has now moved to 1 – 2pm, still on a Saturday for just £2.
