Membership Terms and Conditions


  • Applications can be made at any Sandwell Leisure Trust Centre, original documentation required as evidence for eligibility. Please note that there is a £10 administration fee for standard and concessionary leisure pass applications made at centres. Memberships are valid from the date of issue until the expiry date or until the holder ceases to be eligible.
  • Applications can also be made online at www.slt-leisure.co.uk. Original documentation is required as evidence of eligibility on first visit to a centre.
  • All members will need to report to reception before using the facilities, to show membership card.
  • Family Leisure Pass holders must live at the same address. Child are classed as between 0-17 years of age. Family members can include husband, wife, partner, children of applicant and all members in the Family membership must have their own membership card regardless of age.
  • A Leisure Pass must be renewed every 12 months (except ONE CARD ‘pay as you go’ which is renewable monthly).
  • Passes are not transferable and are only for use by the cardholder. Membership concessions cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers or discounts.
  • Concessionary rates only apply on production of your membership card or full charge must be paid.
  • Failure to produce a valid membership card will result in the full price being charged.
  • Only one discount or concession is permitted per person, per booking/activity.
  • Certain activities will require pre-booking.
  • Your membership number must be given when pre-booking activities over the telephone and your membership card will be required for verification at reception.
  • 24 hours notice must be given to cancel all pre-booked activities whether paid or unpaid. Failure to do this will result in you being charged for that activity and prevented from using SLT facilities until payment for outstanding arrears is paid.
  • Disabled persons must show and indicate proof of disability on application form to gain free swimming.
  • Opening times of leisure centres and facilities may vary and can be subject to change. You are advised to check with the leisure centre you intend to use.
  • Changes to the membership scheme are subject to regular review and can be changed at anytime without prior notice.
  • Lost or damaged membership cards must be reported immediately at your local leisure centre. An administration fee will be charged for replacement cards.
  • Any change in personal details or circumstances making your membership ineligible, must be notified to the membership team or nearest leisure centre.
  • The giving of incorrect information with the intent of defrauding Sandwell Leisure Trust will result in appropriate action being taken.
  • This information will be held and processed by Sandwell Leisure Trust in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
  • Sandwell Leisure Trust reserves the right to refuse the use of a membership, to withdraw the membership if it is misused and to refuse admission to leisure centres.
  • Online bookings are non-refundable. To cancel an online booking a minimum of 24hrs notice must be given to receive a credit of the equivalent booking value. Failure to do this will result in you being charged for that activity. Cancellations must be made by telephone or in person at the centre. Credits for online bookings are processed by the centre reception teams only.
  • Please note defaults on bookings will result in advanced booking privileges being revoked with a reinstatement cost being incurred.
  • SLT will allow no longer than10 mins before re-letting pre-booked activities.
  • 12 month annual ONE CARD membership is non refundable and can not be suspended. This does not effect your statutory rights.
  • SLT reserves the right to amend membership terms and conditions at any time.
  • All members will be required to have a photograph taken which will be used to support identification of members.
  • Student Membership are available to students aged 18+ and in FULL TIME education. Evidence will be required upon completion of the online application when collecting membership card. 
  • All Junior users aged 14-17 must have a mandatory gym induction before using the gym independently. Use of gyms is at sites where gym teams available on shift. 
  • Parents/Guardians must complete the application for all Junior Standard memberships on behalf of the Junior member

Direct Debit Memberships

  • You have the right to cancel your Direct Debit membership within the first 14 days of application to qualify for a full refund. You may be charged for facilities used during this period at SLT’s discretion. A £12.50 ‘compensation for default’ is charged for collecting unpaid Direct Debits.
  • ONE CARD Direct Debit memberships are for a minimum of three months Direct Debit payments plus initial payment, cancellation within this period will result in an invoice being raised for the outstanding amount.
  • Student membership £19.50 option is on a minimum 12 month direct debits plus initial payment, and is for use at one site only, selected upon joining. £22.80 option is for a minimum 3 direct debits plus initial payment and is for all centres. 
  • Direct Debits can be suspended for a minimum period of one month, all requests must be sent in writing to the membership team via email or our online form giving a minimum of 30 days notice. You must have completed your minimum contract period before you can suspend your membership.
  • Initial payment covers membership until first Direct Debit payment. This period varies dependant on joining time and may be less than a month.
  • Cancellation of Direct Debit membership should be sent in writing to the membership team via email or our online form giving a minimum of 30 days notice. You must also cancel with your bank (provided you have completed your minimum contract term). 


  • To access free swimming all participants must register on line and then present their temporary membership number at any SLT facility to receive their free swimming card.
  • All participants must live within Sandwell and complete a postcode verification check.
  • Those aged 16 and under will be able to swim for free in designated school holiday public swimming sessions as deemed on the SLT website.
  • Those aged 60 and over can swim for free at any time of year before 1pm in any public swimming session. (Last Admission 1pm).
  • SLT are entitled to amend this offer at any time.
  • Free swimming cards can be withdrawn by SLT if any individuals act inappropriately when visiting any SLT facility.
  • Leisure Pass cards must be presented at Reception.
  • Proof of age may be asked for by Reception staff to verify age. Access to the swimming session may be denied if verification is not complete.
  • The existing SLT Under 8s policy applies for all sessions.
  • All existing members Over 60s and Under 16s need not apply for a free swimming card as this benefit will be added to your membership.
  • Sessions are subject to availability.
  • All members will be required to have a photograph taken which will be used to support identification of members.
  • All existing Membership / Leisure Pass Terms and Conditions also apply where applicable.


  • £22.80 fixed for 5 years
  • 5 year fixed membership price ends on any break of membership contract.
  • An initial fee of £22.80 will be required to secure the membership, with direct debit payments commencing once the centre opens.
  • Membership offer is not available in conjunction with any other discounts or offers.
  • Portway Lifestyle Centre membership is applicable for sole use at only Portway Lifestyle Centre.
  • Members wishing to use other SLT centres must upgrade or join Leisure Pass Gold.
  • Membership offer is limited and subject to review and or change at anytime.
  • Some activity sessions may be excluded and subject to change.
  • Direct Debit membership at is for a minimum of 12 months direct debit payments, cancellation within this period will result in an invoice being raised for the outstanding amount.
  • SLT reserve the right to amend, change, cancel or suspend the membership offer at anytime.
  • All members will be required to have a photograph taken which will be used to support identification of members.
  • All existing Membership / Leisure Pass Terms and Conditions also apply where applicable. 


  • Leisure Pass Golf membership is valid at Brandhall Golf Course.
  • Leisure Pass Golf cards are not transferable and are only for use by the holder.
  • Eagle and Birdie Direct Debit memberships are for a minimum period of 12 months.
  • Leisure Pass Golf memberships are valid for 12 months.
  • Leisure Pass Golf cards are subject to Brandhall Golf Course - Conditions of Use.
  • Leisure Pass Golf membership is sold on the understanding that the course may be closed at certain times due to inclement weather, organised golf tournaments or golf societies.
  • Sandwell Leisure Trust shall not be liable for any injury, loss or damage to clothing, valuables or property sustained by any person using Brandhall Golf course howsoever such injury, loss or damage may be caused.
  • Brandhall Golf course operates a pre-booking system.
  • All members will be required to have a photograph taken which will be used to support identification of members.



  • 5 year fixed membership price ends on any break of membership contract.
  • Membership offer is not available in conjunction with any other discounts or offers.
  • Tipton Leisure Centre membership is applicable for sole use at Tipton Leisure Centre only.
  • Members wishing to use other SLT centres must upgrade or join Leisure Pass Gold.
  • Membership offer is limited and subject to review and or change at anytime.
  • Some activity sessions may be excluded and subject to change.
  • Direct Debit membership at Tipton Leisure Centre is for a minimum of 12 months direct debit payments, cancellation within this period will result in an invoice being raised for the outstanding amount.
  • SLT reserve the right to amend, change, cancel or suspend the membership offer at anytime.
  • All members will be required to have a photograph taken which will be used to support identification of members.
  • All existing Membership / Leisure Pass Terms and Conditions also apply where applicable.


  • £19.50 fixed for 3 years.
  • 3 year fixed membership price ends of the break of membership contract.
  • An initial fee of £9.99 will be required to secure the membership, with direct debit payments commencing once the centre opens.
  • Membership offer is not available in conjunction with any other discounts or offers.
  • Wednesbury Leisure Centre membership offer is only applicable for sole use at Wednesbury Leisure Centre.
  • Members wishing to use other SLT centres must upgrade or join ONE Card direct debit.
  • Membership offer is limited and subject to review and or change at any time.
  • Some activity sessions may be excluded and subject to change Direct debit membership for Wednesbury Leisure Centre is for a minimum of 12 months direct debit payments. Cancellation within this period will result if an invoice being raised for the outstanding amount.
  • SLT reserve the right to amend, cancel or suspend the membership offer at anytime.
  • All members will be required to have a photograph taken which will be used to support identification of members.
  • All existing Membership / Leisure Pass Terms and Conditions also apply where applicable.


  • Regular membership terms & conditions will apply with the additional terms detailed below.
  • Family membership is for up to two adults and two children aged up to 17 years. There is no reduction for only one child.
  • Once a child reaches eighteen years old then that member will be offered a ONECARD membership at the corporate membership price. The exising family membership will still be in use unless a cancellation has been received.
  • Family memberships are not transferable to another family under any circumstances.
  • The lead adult member can change the names of the children on the membership at no additional cost. This must be done by emailing memberships@slt-leisure.co.uk
  • You are not permitted to suspend a part membership and retain benefits for all. Suspensions will only be accepted for family members.
  • Additional children can be added for additional price of £5 per child per month.
  • ONE CARD Direct Debit family memberships are for a minimum of three months Direct Debit payments plus initial payment, cancellation within this period will result in an invoice being raised for the outstanding amount.
  • Cancellation of Direct Debit membership should be sent in writing to the membership team and cancelled with your bank (provided you have completed you minimum contract term).
  • If an additional child is added to the membership the Direct debit will be automatically increased by £5 per month for that additional child.
  • All existing Membership / Leisure Pass Terms and Conditions also apply where applicable.


  • The RaF form can only be completed upon exchange of ‘W’ number (temporary membership number). All existing member details must be completed at this time.
  • No names can be added retrospectively after the joining date.
  • New members will need to provide existing member contact details, they will be informed of this within their welcome email.
  • Members who are eligible for gift cards will be contacted when they are available for collection.
  • Both members must be fully up to date with payments and still LIVE at the date of collection of the voucher.
  • SLT reward values are subject to change at any time and SLT’s discretion.
  • SLT can amend, review and change this offer at anytime.
  • New member can only nominate one existing member to receive reward.
  • Existing members can recommend multiple new members and receive reward. SLT will monitor closely and review as required.
  • If the new member cancels the membership before the first Direct Debit the reward will no longer be available.
  • If the ‘referrer’ has cancelled their membership and is no longer a member, the reward will not be available.
  • This voucher can not be exchanged for any reductions off membership fees.
  • SLT can remove or decline this offer at anytime.
  • This offer is for new members only, existing members can not use this as a recommendation and will be declined.


  • Initial payment £19.50 (to cover December) 1st direct debit 1st January 2017.
  • Direct Debit membership is for a minimum of 12 months direct debit payments, cancellation within this period will result in an invoice being raised for the outstanding amount.
  • Any changes to the membership to include all sites (£28.50) will still be subject to the remaining contract period.
  • Membership is valid for use at one SLT site only, selected at time of joining.
  • Offer is available to new members only.
  • Membership offer is not available in conjunction with any other discounts or offers.
  • Membership offer is limited and subject to review and or change at anytime.
  • Some activity sessions may be excluded and subject to change.

  • Customer applying for the Corporate ONE must produce the necessary evidence to qualify for the reduced monthly payments, failure to do so will result in the membership being increased to the normal ONE Card monthly amount of £28.50
  • Direct Debit membership is for a minimum of 3 months direct debit payments, cancellation within this period will result in an invoice being raised for the outstanding amount
  • Offer is available to new members only, members cannot have cancelled their membership between 24th – 26th November 2017

Black Friday 2017

  • Initial payment £1.00 (to cover December) 1st direct debit 1st January 2018
  • If the membership is cancelled within 14 days, usage will be deducted from the initial payment and an invoice raised to cover any additional costs, charged at normal pay and play rate


  • Membership valid from 1st December 2017 to 31st March 2018
  • Play includes Monday to Friday after 11am and after 1pm Saturday and Sundays
  • Available to new members only
  • Membership will be available to purchase from Monday 20th November at Brandhall Golf Course
  • Membership is for one person only and is not transferable
  • Membership cannot be suspended or cancelled
  • Payment is due in full upon completion of the application
  • If cancelled within 14 days, any usage will be deducted from the payment and an invoice raised where the usage exceeds £100
  • No Leisure Pass discounts apply
  • Membership is valid at Brandhall Golf course
  • Membership is subject to Brandhall Golf Course Conditions of Use
  • Membership is sold on the understanding that the course may be closed at certain times due to inclement weather, organised golf tournaments or golf societies
  • Sandwell Leisure Trust shall not be liable for any injury, loss or damage to clothing, valuables or property sustained by any person using Brandhall Golf course however such injury, loss or damage may be caused
  • All members will be required to have a photograph taken which will be used to support identification of members
  • Membership may be brought as a gift


  • Initial payment £20.22, 1st direct debit 1st March 2018
  • Direct Debit membership is for a minimum of 12 months direct debit payments, cancellation within this period will result in an invoice being raised for the outstanding amount.
  • Any changes to the membership to include all sites (£28.50) will still be subject to the remaining contract period and must be requested in writing.
  • Membership is valid for use at one SLT site only, selected at time of joining.
  • Offer is available to new members only. Members must not have cancelled and re-joined in the month of January 2018
  • Membership offer is not available in conjunction with any other discounts or offers.

  • Must provide evidence of Full Time status when collecting card
  • Requests for refunds must be made in writing within 14 days of the pass being taken out. Any costs of use will be deducted and an invoice raised where required.
