Holiday Activities

Fun filled programmes are offered across Sandwell during all the school holidays.

Young people aged 5-16 years can take part in hourly activity sessions with all day sessions available for those aged 8 years and over. Some age restrictions do apply and pre-booking may be required for some activities.
 
Whether its playing sport, taking coached activities or joining in fun sessions to splash about and enjoy time with your friends, Sandwell Leisure Trust has something for you.
 
SLT Holiday Camp activities are run during all major school breaks including October, Christmas holidays, February, Easter and Whitsun half terms and the main Summer school holidays with the following activities at our centres:

Tipton Sports Academy 

Our holiday camps at Tipton Sports Academy are designed to help your kids (ages 8 to 16) get active through sports and games, allow children to try out new, exciting activities, learn about nutrition and healthy eating and have an all-around fun-filled experience.

  • SLT HAF Holiday Camp – Free holiday camp for those receiving benefit related free school meals.
  • Ages 8 – 16. Runs Easter, Summer and Winter holidays 9am – 1:00pm, children can be dropped off at 8:30am.
  • Range of multi sports, sports specific sessions, and art and crafts.
  • Each child receives healthy snacks and a hot meal each day.

  • Roller Disco every Saturday night from 5:00pm
  • Junior Pay and Play Badminton available between 9 and 5pm

Portway Lifestyle Centre

  • Daily casual football on the all-weather 3G pitches available to all
  • SEND Multi-sports Camp for 8 years+ ran by The Albion Foundation - contact ajay.gill@albionfoundation.co.uk

  • Roller Disco every Friday night for all ages

Wednesbury Leisure Centre

  • Aqua Mayhem – 18m Aqua Run for all the family, available throughout school holiday - find out more here

Haden Hill Leisure Centre

Randox Free Health checks
This is a free of charge service for those eligible between the ages of 40 -74 40-74 on 5th July & 26th July from 10.00-16.00. Appointments can be booked in advance here. 

ELP Sports Holiday Camp
Free holiday camps to children who are entitled to free school meals from 10.00 - 14.00 on:

  • Monday 31st July - Thursday 3rd August
  • Monday 7th Aug - Thursday 10th Aug
  • Monday 14th Aug - Thursday 17th Aug
  • Monday 21st Aug - Thursday 24th Aug
If your child receives Benefit Related Free School Meals or has an EHCP, are Looked After or have No Recourse to Public Funding you will receive a HAF E-voucher with a unique code each holiday period via text or email. You will need this code to book activities. Book activities through the link within the email or text. Contact haf_sandwell@sandwell.gov.uk for more information. 

Tipton Leisure Centre

Throughout the school holidays Tipton Leisure Centre is offering a comprehensive swimming instruction programme for all abilities, please check the website or contact the centre directly for the timetable and availability.

Alongside this, we have additional family and public sessions throughout the week.

Under 18 and live in Sandwell? Remember to bring your membership card/band to access the public sessions for free!
