Partnership Working
Sandwell Leisure Trust prides itself on its partnerships. We work with key agencies to engage the local community, promote services, develop activities and enhance local provision.
Our partnership with Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council and Sandwell NHS Primary Care Trust is a key part of our success. We work together to maximise the use of available resources to improve the lives and wellbeing of Sandwell’s residents.
SLT addresses social inclusion by providing targeted concessions, supporting and hosting community engagement events and free activities for 'Looked After Children' and carers.
We also work with the NHS on the ‘Physical Activity Referral Scheme’ and ‘Active Sandwell’, promoting and developing activities for the over 60s.
Our other partners include employment services, council departments, schools and community and voluntary sector organisations.
Our partnership with the Black Country Consortium, a Black Country regeneration organisation, supports the trust with strategic research direction and bids to generate revenue for us. We also work with SPORTA, the national organisation representing social enterprises in the leisure and culture market.
