STA Level 2 Certifcate in Teaching Swimming - Beginners STC(B) and STA Level 2 Certificate - Poolside Helper NaRS (PH) are now available at Smethwick Swimming Centre.
Holders of the STC(B) can teach swimming to up to 10 beginners and may also act as an assistant teacher and may teach larger classes or advanced skills under the direct supervision of a suitably qualified swimming teacher. Courses start on 8th February and 24th May 2011. For more information download the

Holders of a NaRS(PH) are able to act as a poolside lifesaver trained in pool rescue, CPR techniques and first aid competent to deal with poolside emergencies. Courses start 11th January and 26th April 2011. For more information download the

If you want to become a Lifeguard a NaRS Pool Lifeguard Course is being held on Monday evenings at Langley Swimming Centre from 5.00pm-9.00pm starting 10th January 2011 costing £190.00.
